A special fireplace that generates electricity from heat and consumes water to keep running. Available in the server shop.
Placement: like any regular fireplace, it needs a wall next to it to be placed — on open ground with no wall nearby, the game will show “not stable enough” and won’t let you place it. This is a general Rust fireplace quirk, not a bug specific to this item.
How it works: put fuel (wood) in and fill the built-in tank with water — it will start generating electricity. Power output ramps up gradually: reaching full power takes 30 minutes of continuous burning. If fuel or water runs out, the generator shuts off and cools down much faster (about 10 minutes back to zero).
Automation: you can attach an Industrial Storage Adaptor to it, just like on a regular fireplace — lets you hook it up to industrial conveyors to feed wood in and pull charcoal out automatically, without opening it by hand.
Removing it: hit it with a hammer — the whole generator (with everything inside) goes straight back into your hands.
Consumption at full power:
• Wood: ~360 pieces/hour (~8640/day if run continuously)
• Water: 30 units/sec (~108,000/hour) from the built-in 500,000-capacity tank
About water: a single automatic pump is not enough to keep up. Tested in practice — 3 pumps still drain the tank over time, 4 pumps keep it net positive.
